What we collect, why, and what you can do about it. Written to be read.
What this covers
This policy explains what TrackMyPrep ("we", "us") collects when you use the website at trackmyprep.com and the web app at app.trackmyprep.com, and what we do with it.
What we collect
- Your Google account basics. When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address, profile photo and a Google account identifier. We do not receive your Google password or anything else in your Google account.
- Profile details you give us. Your name, mobile number, age and education level, entered during onboarding or on your profile.
- Your interests. The state and the exam categories you choose, so the app can show the exams that matter to you.
- Your consent to WhatsApp notifications, if you give it, with the date and time you gave it.
- What you do in the app. The exams you track, your PrepAI conversations, and your quizzes: the questions you were shown, your answers, your scores and the days you took them, which make up your streak.
- Basic technical data. Server logs such as IP address, browser and time of request, and reports of app errors, kept for security and to fix problems.
What we do with it
- Run the service: sign you in, show you the exams you track, give you a private calendar link for them if you ask for one (anyone with that link can see the dates of the exams you track, so keep it to yourself), keep your PrepAI conversation and your quiz history, and count your streak.
- Show exams you may be eligible for. We compare your age and education level with each exam's age limits and minimum qualification. This is a guide only: category relaxations and other rules vary, so always check the official notification.
- Personalise your home screen using your state and exam categories.
- Answer your PrepAI questions. Your messages are sent to an AI model provider (Anthropic) to generate the reply. Under its terms they are not used to train its models.
- Send you notifications on WhatsApp, only if you have agreed to receive them.
- Fix problems and understand, in aggregate, which parts of the website and app are used.
- Reply when you contact us.
We do not sell your data, share it with coaching institutes or advertisers, or use it for advertising.
Where exam information and quiz questions come from
Exam dates, fees and eligibility are collected from public recruitment listings. To turn each listing into a structured exam page, and to write the practice questions in quizzes, we use an AI model provider (Anthropic). Only the text of public listings and the quiz subject are sent for this, never your personal data.
Who else sees it
Only the services needed to run the product:
- Cloudflare hosts the website, the app and our servers, and stores our database in its Asia-Pacific region. We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies and without tracking you across sites.
- Google handles sign-in.
- Anthropic receives the PrepAI messages you send, public recruitment listings and quiz subjects.
How long we keep it
For as long as you have an account. When you delete your account, your profile, interests, tracked exams, PrepAI conversations and quiz history are removed from our database straight away; backups that may still contain them expire within thirty days. Server logs are kept for a short period and then deleted.
Your choices
- Edit your profile details whenever they change.
- Change your state and exam categories.
- Stop tracking any exam at any time.
- Turn WhatsApp notifications off in Profile at any time.
- Start a new PrepAI conversation or clear the current one.
- Delete your account yourself in the app: Profile, then Delete account. You can also email us to do it for you.
- Ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you.
Children
TrackMyPrep is for people preparing for government recruitment exams and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we tell you in the app before it takes effect. The date at the top shows the current version.

In line with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it, our Grievance Officer is Debraj Singh, TrackMyPrep Pvt Ltd, admin@trackmyprep.com. We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and resolve them within 15 days.
